I have the same machine and mine is louder than I expected it to be. I did take it in for a cleaning a few months ago and she didn't find anything wrong with it. It works fine, just noisier than I'd like. I change needles with each project and never noticed it being quieter after a new needle. I clean mine out frequently, especially when quilting.
Grab a few Q-tips and some sewing machine oil. Put a drop on a Q-tip and clean the lint out with that. Turn the wheel by hand so you can get in thru the holes and clean. Each time you pull up a bunch of lint, change to a new Q-tip so you don't drop the lint back in.
