i am in the process of making a stained glass appliqué. I asked the lady in my LQS who does beautiful work what she uses and she said NOT the fusible because it's so stiff. The ready made bias is expensive so she recommended a gadget made by Clover which you feed your strip of fabric through that folds it and you press with the iron as you go; if you want to do fusible, you can buy tape which fits inside the gadget; i haven't used it yet so can't say how I find it! :D Here's a link
