If a person hangs around long enough, you'll see they change the rules all the time. A good friend lost her child to SIDS. The doctor we worked for said she shouldn't have put the baby on her tummy. When I had my son, we weren't to put them on their backs, now they say lay them on their side with a rolled up blanket on their back. At the time she lost her baby, they said smoking wasn't a problem....now they think that when parents smoke, the child is more likely to die from SIDS. I had a relative that had a baby die from SIDS -- she'd done everything as she was supposed to do at the time....the baby died anyways. Some babies move around a lot in their sleep -- mine never did so their quilts stayed put.
My vote is to make the quilt ---- enjoy the baby!!!!
