Ok... I'm breathing. It just frustrates me that I line those cut off corners up perfectly and then when I flip over the triangle it's hanging out over the edge of the square so I knew it wasn't going to line up when I put the side pieces on.

I'll check the other squares that are cut out for the 3 other middles. They are 8 9/16 square. I might have to use the builder's square because the 12 1/2" quilter's square doesn't have 1/16th measurements, just 1/8th, so I eyed it. I'll check the cut triangles too.

Yes, I'm making a quilt for my daughter with 4 of these stars in the middle though I haven't decided on what the rest of it will be yet.
