I normally press all my strips and then start cutting my pieces. I am going to start by cutting the very end of my strips with a 45 degree angle on them. Then I turn the strip and line it up with the length of point I want to make. In this case the first one would be 3". So I am actually making 3" diamonds at 45 degree angle.

Turned the strip and now lining up the 3" length and the 45 degree line to cut my diamond.

Continue cutting until you have 8 diamonds
