DO NOT, repeat DO NOT use Insul-Brite in the microwave!!! It isn't made for that and the manufacturer specifically warns against using it! It has metallized mylar coating and may damage your microwave. Insulbrite is used to reflect heat away from surfaces, so you wouldn't want to use that anyway.

DO USE Warm Tater batting, also by the Warm company, for any products used in the microwave. It is an all-cotton batting, with no scrim, made specifically for use in this kind of project.
