I work along a stream and swampy area that is really tick infested. So, I spray some onto my hands then apply it all over her body once a day just before I take her out for the first time each day when I know the ticks are at their worst. Then other times, I might spray her or apply it to her once every other day. I would use my judgment and apply it as I thought necessary to keep her protected and safe. Remember a little goes a long way and I keep her spray bottle with me in her “doggie bag” so it is always handy to give her a little touch up. I also spray some on me for when I take her out……I need to be protected from the ticks as well! :D
Many have asked about fleas……Yes, the recipe is advertised for fleas & ticks. Sorry that I had neglected to mention fleas in my original posting, adding to anyone's confusion, but I guess my mind was on the ticks already making their appearance in our area. This recipe was posted on the Mayo Clinic website and I have passed it along to many of my family and personal friends over the last couple of years that have also been happy and successful with the results.
