You can take out some of the quilted stitches, pull the pieces together and 'sew' them with liquid stitch then use the same color thread used by the quilter and restitch on your home machine. Liquid stitch is available at WM and is permanent. It should be easy to follow the stitch holes left by the quilting machine to restitch pretty much in the same place. Good luck, I know how frustrating that is.
