I have used it many times , in some instances I like it better than regular batting. Just becareful not to stretch the "batting" as you are sandwiching, it will return to its original size once completed. Just smooth it do not stretch. A significant up side to using it is you will never have a bearding issue.
I save the smaller pieces for the insides of potholders ( two layers ) .
