I do find the width I am at is pretty much the max when pressing detailed work. It doesn't seem like it's very wide to start, but when you are doing a whole quilt top, it becomes a long stretch across, especially when you're being careful not to stand on the quilt that is draping between you and the board.
Just mentioning this, as it'd be work practicing on your 30x60 before you commit to it, just in case you find the same.
