I didn't do anything at first, oh my the fraying (would lose several inches this way). Then I went to zig zagging the ends, better but they still twisted and became so tangled that the wrinkles were enormous, just discovered that serging them helped so much. I haven't folded them in half or tried the mesh bag trick yet, but am considering it on the larger (several yard) sizes as they still twist together.

Definately either serge or zig zag it does make a difference.
