very good point!!!!!
my DD lost two afghans i had made for her DH and son...
one was a football pattern (charted)... with a huge football in the middle on a grass green background... with the white lines up the side and goal points...
the other was royal blue, with all the colors on crayons in stripes, for her sons room...
they were moving quickly to a new home, and packed a lot of stuff in "garbare bags" out of necessity for speed... and yep, you guessed it... she was so angry with them... "her Mother, made them"....!!!! but hey, it was an honest mistake,,, and that boy is 22 now!!!! but YES,,, it can happen...

They should not be put into any kind of plastic. Try pillow cases. I know they are not water proof that way, but garbage bags aren't the way to go. If you must put them in plastic, use clear so that you can see through it.
