Yes when they do break it is in a million pieces. The few times I had to clean them up it was in the kitchen with a vinyl flooring, I swept really good, then took some wet paper towels and wiped up everywhere to get the tiny fragments. I also told the kids to not come into the kitchen barefooted for several days.
