I ordered the pattern over the weekend. I think we all figured out (well, those that bothered to read this whole thread) that it was all appliqued. I'm really psyched about somehow updating the pattern with more contemporary techniques.
I bet it will be as beautiful as the first one! Can't wait to see it, please be sure to post pictures!
