I still have, and still use, Corelle for many of the same reasons others have mentioned. When I have had them break, it has NEVER been because they hit concrete. Just last year I hit the back of a dining room chair. I guess it hit is "just right" (or just wrong depending on how you term it!)I was left with about 1/3 of the plate in my hand, and several large pieces were on the floor surrounded by what seemed like millions (or billions) of tiny shards! Get this......those shards flew EVERYWHERE -- even into the next room!!!!! :shock: :shock: It seemed like it took me forever to clean up the mess. I was still finding small bits that had escaped underneath pieces of furniture and appliances. YIKES!!!! :shock: :shock: I always go around barefoot, but for a while after that I had my slippers on my feet!! :lol:
