My store used to carry those things. I noticed my GW doesn't keep much but kitchen items, & clothing now. No more electronics either, very little furniture. Not much for me to go for anymore...they're trying to add dollar store items as well. I always loved going for the unusual, "surprised to find"...nothing left like that now, or far too expensive.
My husband told me years ago that the Salvation Army sold most clothing, even ironed & dry-cleaned items, for rag content by the bag or truckload. I didn't believe him & was shocked. He took me down on auction day once a week to see for myself. I was very disappointed, as I have always been careful to send just the nicer things, carefully cleaned & folded. I now try to find a consignment shop so I know it won't just be destroyed.
