We have wiener dog races here too, once a year at the local race track. My DH and I love to watch them. There's an island in the middle of the race track with grass and a pond, always a few that find that area much more appealing than the track. And sometimes the owners provide the most entertainment, one year a gal came unglued because she thought her dog won after the final race but the judges did not agree, thank goodness for the "photo finish", it showed her dog won by a nose. I think she would have beat up the judges if it showed otherwise.
