It's not sashing, that's why you're puzzled. ;) The layout is actually a tessellation, simple in design, very complex in coloring and could be tricky in putting together correctly. I don't use EQ, so you'll have to settle for Excel for the 'map'.
The basic unit is 12 split 9-patches in a 'plus sign' layout. They stagger and nest with each other. Awesome design with great possibilities.
