I'll add that a few weeks ago my DH and I were in an antique shop and I spotted one for $750 - It was not a 222 or otherwise special, either. That made the ebay price seem ever so much more reasonable. I should stop by that shop and thank the person for putting that crazy price on it because without that comp, DH might have been less cheerful about my purchase :) It also helped that he wanted to buy a couple of golf clubs and has noticed the fact that I never complain about his spending.
