You should get info from your manufacturer. I checked with Janome before buying the Magna Hoop and was told it has to be a much stronger magnetic field before it causes a problem and would have to be right on the computer side. Used the MagnaHoop for years now with no problems. Also checked with Babylock and was told the same thing.
