The only thing I wear around my neck is a tape measure and then only when I am altering something. I have a small sewing area that I can reach from one swivel chair. I keep one pair on the cutting area and another on the right hand side of my sewing machine. I have found that when I had them hung around my neck it was just inconvenient.
