C sent me this beautiful dresden plate this is 4 of 4.

I love this quilt..I love the elegance....the swirls in the fabrics and the pieced squares in between the dresden plates..it gave me an opportunity to do something pretty beside the dresdens.. a blank slate if you will...I love that as a long arm quilter. I kept it simple because that is all it needed.

IN the dresdens I did a wavy outline if the blades....and a little design in the center. I feather in each block...with ribbons swirling in the outer frame. I left one border with an outline because we need a place to rest sometimes. In the sparkly brown border I put in ribbons. The outer border I wanted free flowing feathers with ribbons coming out of them in various spots to fill in any areas and bring it all together.
I love the pieced back!

I used HObbs polydown batting.

I quilted this on my INNOVA. All freehand no computer or pantograph quilting.

Thanks for looking.
