I hit a blank wall several months ago. I'd cleaned up my quilt room, sorted my fabrics, made all the grandkids, and now all the kids and their spouses quilts..........
Ahh, when straitening my stash I remembered the fabrics I didn't really like and couldn't imagine using..... What if I used them to make cuddle quilts for my church to hand out. So, I started one (probably out of pure guilt for not doing charity quilts before) and the first one came out kind of cute. Then I began on bigger kid quilts. I used up fleece pieces to back the cotten squares. And used up "baby" prints I'd gotten when the grandkids were born, but never used. And all those sports prints for boy quilts and all my grandsons are busy with music and leggos and building odd structures in the backyard. Anyway, I was really into quilting again. And they were received with enthusiasm. So making "not so important quilts" or maybe making mug rugs that can't really count because they're not big :>) And yet you feel good.
