I have a concealed weapons permit; I carry mine (.38 S&W) in what's known as a "ITP" holster...ITP for "in the pants"...very safe, very effective and you can get to it quickly. I carry in my midback at the waistband and use a left-handed holster...oh, and they aren't too expensive either. I don't carry a purse any more! Good luck with trying to make one...
