As with many interlocking block patterns, this one is deceptively easy. Nancy Page offered this block in a newspaper advertisement in the 1930's for "three cents and a self addressed stamped envelope."
I found this reference to this pattern on the internet. Amazingly it doesn't look "deceptively easy". Ann in TN
