sounds like a lot of fun for the two of you. i've done a bit of diving off the washington coast. wet suits are wonderful! you won't notice the cold in the water. there is a lovely underwater park on whidby island. you can see some incredible sea critters there and not go below 40 feet. enjoy your adventure!
