If you join the blocks you will have 3 patterns going on, which I think will unify the quilt. I personally love the colors you have used. Do you have enough to make a top? Another solution would be to put it on point with a solid color block between them. Nice quilting perhaps a tulip type design in the solid color block will add to the overall look. Quilting sure takes a lot of thinking, don't you agree?
