The idea of a rag quilt is to let the edges fray. That is why they call it a reg quilt. you just sew a one inch seam together to connect all your blocks on the top. Then clip them along the edges anf wash it. It then becomes a rag quilt. go to the search and type in rag quilt tuit and I think there is something there that might be of more help.
