LOL! If you've got the time and the funds, just start by signing up for a class at your LQS.
I don't know what level you think you are, but find something interesting.
You'll meet other people. And I guarantee you there will be other women in the same situation as you.
Does your LQS, or one nearby, have a free day of sewing when they open up their classroom? Take advantage of it.
Now you might have found a carpool to a quilt show. And it grows from there.
Heck, you'll probably be going to Houston in November. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
