I live in OH and my DD, SIL, and 5 GC live in FL. It is 2 long days of travel (with overnight stay on road) there and 2 long days of travel back (with overnight stay on road) with just a stops when it was absolutely necessary to get gas or potty breaks. It takes me at the very least 2 days to recover when I get there and 2 days to recover when I get home (my neck and back just from driving that long). I prefer flying there. My mom was 81 the first time she flew. She had a bad stroke a month after she turned 80, worked very hard on her rehad and it would not have been good for her to be in the car that long without stopping every two hours to let her walk. Her first flight she did shed a few tears on the take off, but it was a lot easier on her physically and she flew again after that. She said that if she had not had the stroke she would never have flown. LOL
