I've flown many, many times within US and to Europe and while it wasn't my favorite way to travel it was OK. Nowadays I hate the idea of being packed into a plane for a long time. Years ago there were always empty seats on the planes, with an empty seat between DH and I we could spread out a bit and not feel so squished and not feel there wasn't enough air to breath. I also have developed arthritic problems with my knees and getting into and out of those seats is giving me nightmares.
Granddaughter who lives in CA is planning her wedding there in October 2012 and I'm already worried about flying there. There's a bit of hope as she and fiance may be changing wedding site to Chicago (where his family lives) so we could drive there, or even better, wedding might be right here in Jersey.
Saw this reply and Jet Blue is the way we'll go if we have to fly.
"P.S. I flew on Jet Blue recently and discovered that they have "wider seats" for those of us with "wider seats"!
