Well, this morning before I started my errands I spotted a garage sale ad the started "ATTENTION QUILTERS!"....well, they were selling fabric for $2/yd, so I just had to go clear across town to see/buy.
Well, I bought 10 pieces of material for $75, one was a panel ($2), two were over 5 yds ($10 each), and the rest were 2-4 yard pieces. When I got home and measured the pieces (prior to washing) I discovered that she (the garage sale owner) overcharged me by at least $15. So....
I packed up the material and went all the way (11 miles!) across town again. She could not have been more cordial or gracious. She was shocked but offer me $15.00 or 10 pieces of material, since I had tocome all the way back. Well, guess what I did! Surprise! I took the fabric!!! hehehe!
Anyway, I have the washing machine running full blast and here is what I got. A total of 68 yds of fabric for $75...$1.10 a yard! Can't beat that for Friday the 13th!!
