I relearned some stuff I had forgotten in quilting

always press your seams when making a block inbeds the thread and then press face up
when making as block press your seams toward the dark whenever possible on a 9 patch you made need to press 1 seam towards the light fabric so it will butt up and creat a nestle

when pressing a long strip do not use the slide method instead press as if it is a small block
your fabric will be distorted

not all irons are created equal reads its features and find one that best matches your needs such as misting, temp weight and etc

use the wider side of the ironing board to press your blocks and put your iron on the narrower side
use the original way when ironing clothes

if you get glue or another sticky subtance on your iron unplug and get a towel or rag w/ rubbing alcohol on it and rub the gook off

how to clean your iron put waqter in it and over the sink press the mister button around 12 x and it shouold help clear up the build up
Not all irons need distilled water plain bottle water or faucet water is fine read instructions nad recommendations on your iron

Enjoy
