I don't shop W-M either for the reason already given BUT I might stop there next time just to see.. it's not very likely I would buy a 2 yard piece.

The reason W-M doesn't have fabric by the yard is because it would take an associate on duty to cut it. W-M's overhead won't allow someone there all the time to wait on customers. IF there was someone assigned to fabrics they would also be covering 5 other departments so good luck getting anyone to cut for you.
