I would pass if it is one of the machines with a belt running horizontal under the machine bed. If it has set around it's probably ready to blow. Cost a lot to fix because they have to be timed after putting on a new belt. Learned the hard way. They are pretty though... If it has plastic gears, I would pass. Look for a machine with metal gears and machined parts rather than stamped parts.
