Thank you all for the compliments. I actually bought this shirt to make a Christmas snowman applique shirt. I went to WM to get the denim shirt and all I could find was one with two pockets so I thought hey I can alway fix that by taking off a pocket. Little did I know that the denim would be darker under the pocket. So once the pocket was removed it really showed the darker material. Not wanting to waste this shirt I just started going thru my stash of scraps and came up with this. I had to put the gold square on to cover the dark spot but I liked the way it turned out. My Mom and my BF both want me to make one for them.
