To some people they are only collector items and others they hold special memories.

But sewing on them is different. The feel,the hum of the motor, and the stitching itself, especially the ones before zig-zag were made. They have a perfect straight stitch, and no plastic parts.

I have 11 machines, from treadles to my newest a Janome 6600P, but when I sit at my Singer 66 and sew it seems magical. I love it best of all next to my Featherweight!
