3 suggestions (from someone who is slowly gaining confidence in putting fabrics together)...
1. make a sampler quilt using white (or black) and then other colors for each different block. The blocks will be united by the white (or black)
2. Make a 2 color quilt... something I do alot.
3. make a single irish chain with different fabrics for each 9 patch

That will get you going again...
