In answer to your question when the years repeat, I think it's every 11 years it changes so this calendar will be good to use in 2014. I looked up the year '75 to find it. Here's the link:

I always thought that the calendar changed every 11 years but according to this site, it's 38 years. Well, 2011's calendar will be the same in 2022 so that's 11 years. Anyway, it will be lots of fun using these old numbers in a quilt. I think they will blend perfectly with all those selvage edges I've been saving, mixed in 'week by week,' haha. (one week on one selvage, another week with another selvage). Yes, it's time ladies to dig thru our oldies and put them to good use! What good are they doing laying in the moth balls? I just can't wait to use all the numbers in something! I know you all will have fun digging through the old linens to add new life to and the sequined calendars would be beautiful as blocks! Can't wait to see what everyone does with them! I just finished looking at your 3 quilts real quick and they are just adorable! Those sheep are so cute and love all 3, especially your avatar! What you can do is cut the NAME of the month apart from the days and weeks. Now you have 12 names and 12 patterns of days and weeks
Look at a new calender to get the days right.
Take January and put a set of weeks that has the same starting day as this year's does, with it.
The same for February, and so on - but be careful because February has an extra day every four years
Match up March and all the rest.
Now you have a calender you can use now!
You have a good idea, jpthequilter! The only problem is that the words 'January' and 'February' are already contained in the mini. If you notice in the first pic on pg. 1, I show where I cut it apart so I would have 1/4" allowance. But the days of Jan. and Feb. I could still use! haha. If I hold onto the calendar, in 3 years, it will be a repeat of the same days and weeks in 2014 as it was in 1975. I want to use the numbers on house blocks, in with selvages, and thirdly, in with scrap quilts so there's lots of plans in the work. It's just getting at them, lol, that's the key! I could always do like you said and make it a 'perpetual' calendar that I could use every year, but I would have to cut apart the days of the weeks into single digits, lol, in order to move them around to be perpetual. Oh, what fun and lots of ideas! Thank you so much for your great idea!
