Someone posted a link to my Storm At Sea coloring exercise a few weeks ago and I got a lot of hits on my Flickr photostream that day, so I thought I'd come check out this community!
I'm a 37yo mom of two girls, full-time math teacher, and quilting addict. I mostly do contemporary quilts, but rather than what's become the definition of "modern" I work in traditional styling with non-traditional coloring or techniques. I also like to do freeform art quilts, but I'm just finding my way with that.
I've been quilting for a very long time for someone my age -- I made my first quilt when I was 10 years old and my wedding dress was Seminole Piecework out of bridal fabrics. My recent enjoyment of quilting has only been for the past 13 years, though. My poor husband thought it was just a phase. Now we live in a padded house -- quilts EVERYwhere and over 15 UFOs in various stages of completion.
On Flickr, I'm messygoat, and I've tried to organize my photostream... It's a work in progress. :)
