Hi, I would suggest if you can't get the do dad back in to go with "Magic Bobbin Washers". They are a teflon washer that you put in your bobbin case to improve on the quality of your bobbin thread performance. In fact I took out my do dad and use these instead. They were designed for longarm machines but you can also get them in the L size for your regular sewing machine.
