I've been out of quilting quite a few years - but when I did have a 'stash' - it was NEVER like I've seen on here. Some look like fabric stores I've seen in small towns!!!!
Guess main reason never had a 'stash' like so many today was simple - IT TAKES LOTS OF $$$$ THAT I DIDN'T HAVE -nor do I have the funds today, so I sure won't die as "the one who has the most material" :cry:
Sorry, but I just don't get it - you lucky quilters who have your own fabric "store" & lots of machines obviously have more means than I do or ever had for buying.
I can remember 'bartering' for 3 quilts for hope chests for 3 grand dgts when they graduated H.S. & sold a few on commission that $ was used to buy more fabric. Ahhhh the good ole days???
Don't get me wrong - Not complaining, just ENJOYING the quilting instead of the collecting I guess.
