Your quilt is beautiful. I believe in the old addage "less is more". IMHO most quilts I see are over-quilted. Unless the quilting actually adds to the finished quilt, I like the least quilting that will hold the sandwich together firmly, usually what the batting calls for. If you want the quilting to be the main feature you might as well do a whole cloth quilt. To me, flat heavily quilted wall hangings are fine, but quilts to cover up with should be thick, fluffy, and cozy. To each his own, but this is my preference.
