No pic yet, but I picked up an old green Zigzag New Home/Janome with a vertical bobbin yesterday for $20.00 w/ decent cabinet (water spot, of course, because folks think over-watered plants belong on top of the cabinets LOL).
I'd like to learn more about it - approx age (60's?), where to find free (if possible) instruction manual, how to clean & oil, which currently sold attachments will fit, and so on.
DIL just began sewing - her first project - we recovered our old couch & rocker cushions, extra throw pillows for their home. Now she is interested in mending, etc so I grabbed this machine at local Goodwill when I saw it & want to get her started with the right info.
If anyone can help me, I'll be grateful.

PS, they also had a Precision Belvedere straight stitch, but thought if DIL mends, she may prefer zigzag ability on the machine. It is also vertical bobbin, needs new bobbin case - Singer store here sells one to fit.
