I thought you might like the history and I think Jerry would love that you worked it out for yourself. I love the quilt and I like Jerry's work. This particular quilt was at quilt market in Houston as well, but I do not remember the year.
There is not actually a pattern with directions, pattern pieces with a diagram. I did not write directions for it, since it is not my design and the book is about Native star quilt uses, I think you have captured the essence of the idea perfectly.

It wasnt stated that there was a pattern to be used. So I made my own. I do that alot on most quilts I do. I see something I like then I make it to my own specifications. That way no copyright issues are being broken. Thank you for putting out that there is apattern for fokls to use if they like this quilt. Me I love it and think it will make a great Q.o.V. quilt. I am hungup on making charity quilts. I just have a fabric shortage issue. Thank you for the education heads up.
