I have RA, have had it for 11 years now. Everyone waits a long time to get into a rheumy doc, your wait time is average. I would have started with my primary first though. He can start with some blood tests, there is one for RA but half the people with RA have a negative result. A rheumy will have to diagnosis you. Hold off on any chiro apt as you cannot go to them if you have RA (I don't actually remember the specific reason, just that you shouldn't). If you indeed have RA, don't get too upset, I've been on my med cocktail for 11 years now and am in great shape. If you didn't know me, you would never know I have RA.

Good Luck.
