Hopefully the vintage machine police won't come get you in the middle of the night :shock: ....only kidding, although I know that there are some out there in vintage machine land!
If the machine belongs to you then you can do whatever you want to it. It is only a machine, after all, even if it has a human name. I'm all for keeping them "as is" if they are in nice condition but if they need a paint job then great--pick your favorite color. Someday I want a machine in either sports car red or fushia :mrgreen:
