I see on some posts about quilts, sewing machines and other packages being left at mailboxes, on porches, etc. They are out in the weather and some may say "take me" to some dishonest jerk passing by. If you don't want this to happen, write "PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ON PORCH" or whatever on a package (if you don't have signature confirmation on it which I do recommend, especially for pricey items). Then the recipient can go pick it up at the PO. If you receive packages, try leaving a note for your carrier to not leave anything that won't fit in your box. Then they can leave you a slip to go pick it up. Much safer.
