I've finished 33 out of 48 blocks for my first quilt, and I'm already planning what to make as my second. Guess I'm addicted already! LOL The problem is, the pattern that I want to make is too small. It's only 76 x 94 inches, and we have a large king size bed. So I know I need to make it bigger, but I wasn't sure how big.

I found a website that I think is going to be very helpful, and I thought others might like it, too. You can enter in the dimensions of your bed, including height and mattress thickness, plus state whether you want to cover the pillows or not. Then you click the Calculate button, and it tells you how big your quilt needs to be.

Now I just need to figure out how many extra blocks I need to make, and what that means in terms of extra material, etc, etc. It's no fun if it's easy! :)
