You can turn any block on point without changing the sashing. Your rows will run diagonal, rather than the conventional straight across.

At the edges, you'll need filler blocks, that will be triangles ... and those can either be one piece of fabric, or 1/2 a block. Sometimes people will assemble it all, and then chop off the extra to square up the side.
